Frequently Asked Questions
-
LubeCalc Pro is a premium mobile engineering calculator built for rotating equipment and fluid power engineers. It puts 47 professional calculators across 11 modules — lube oil systems, hydraulics, piping, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, seals, electrical, pneumatics, and more — right in your pocket. Every calculation runs 100% offline, results can be saved to projects, and you can export professional PDF reports directly from the field. Built by Spartan Lube Oil Systems LLC.
-
Download LubeCalc Pro and get full access to all 47 calculators, reference data, and project features for 3 days — no credit card required to start. After the trial, a one-time purchase of $49.99 unlocks the app permanently. No subscriptions, no recurring charges, no hidden fees.
-
One-time purchase. Pay $49.99 once and the app is yours forever — including all future updates. We don't believe in charging engineers a monthly fee for calculation tools they use every day.
-
Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed into the same account — at no additional cost.
-
LubeCalc Pro is available on iPhone and iPad via the App Store. An Android version is also available on Google Play. The app works identically on both platforms.
-
47 professional calculators across 11 engineering modules: Lube Oil Systems, Viscosity & Oil Analysis, Piping & Flow, Heat Transfer, Hydraulics, Seals & API 682, Pressure Vessels, Electrical & Motors, Pneumatics, Filtration, and System Wizards. Plus 18 reference data screens, a unit converter, and project-based PDF export.
-
100% offline. Every calculation, reference table, and project feature works without an internet connection. Take it to a plant walkdown, offshore platform, or remote site — the app runs entirely on your device. No server calls, no loading screens, no connectivity required.
-
Yes. Each calculator has a unit toggle at the top of the screen, and your preference is remembered per calculator. The dedicated Converter tab also provides standalone unit conversion across 12 categories — pressure, flow, viscosity, temperature, length, force, power, torque, area, volume, mass, and density.
-
Yes. Every calculator has a PDF Export button that generates a professional report with all inputs, results, and engineering notes. You can also organize calculations into Projects (by client, job, or equipment tag) and export an entire project as a single compiled PDF — perfect for submittals and file documentation.
-
LubeCalc Pro is built for preliminary engineering, field checks, and equipment sizing — the kind of work that typically happens in spreadsheets, on paper, or in your head. It gives you fast, reliable answers for system sizing, selection, and sanity checks. For final-for-construction or safety-critical designs, always perform detailed analysis per your company's engineering standards.
-
API 614/682 (lube oil & seal support), ASME Sec. VIII Div.1 (pressure vessels), ASME B31.3/B36.10 (piping), ASME B16.5 (flange ratings), ASTM D341/D2270 (viscosity), TEMA (heat exchangers), HI 9.6.1 (pump NPSH), ISA 75.01 (valve Cv), NEC Article 430 (motor circuits), API 520 (relief valves), and bearing relubrication methodology.
-
All 32 calculation engines have been independently verified against published engineering data with 987 test cases. Tolerances: unit conversions < 0.001%, pressures < 2%, volumes & forces < 1%, velocities < 0.5%, viscosity (ASTM D341) < 1%. Results are for preliminary engineering — always verify critical designs with detailed analysis.
-
LubeCalc Pro is built by Spartan Lube Oil Systems LLC, a Michigan-based engineering company. The app was designed by engineers who size lube oil and fluid power systems professionally — not by developers guessing what engineers need.
-
None. LubeCalc Pro collects zero user data. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no account registration. All your calculations and projects stay on your device. We can't see what you calculate, and we don't want to.
-
Your saved calculations and projects are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone or iPad, app data is included in your device backup and will restore when you set up a new device from that backup. We recommend exporting important projects as PDFs for an additional copy.
